.
- John is known for many things...
- the youngest disciple
- a "son of thunder"
- the self-proclaimed disciple whom Jesus loved
- part of the "inner circle" of three along with his brother James and Simon Peter
- the one who sat next to Jesus during the Lord's Supper
- the first disciple to the empty tomb
- the last disciple to die
- the writer of the gospel of John along with the books of 1st John, 2nd John, 3rd John, and the book of the Revelation -- 6 of the 27 books of the New Testament
- and the list could go on an on.
- But this Sunday we'll focus our attention on the lessons we can learn from his example in being present when others weren't...in the very presence of enemies of the gospel.
- Come and join us. You'll be glad you did.
- This Sunday, 10:30 a.m.
