Sunrise Mountain

As is the case with every organization, there are people who serve "behind the scenes" in providing essential services, and who make everyone else's job easier.

In addition to numerous volunteers who serve the Lord without fanfare, Sunrise Mountain is blessed with a group of paid staff members who serve in supportive roles.

Simply put, without their work and faithfulness, not much of what is able to happen through the members and other staff folks would be happening.

Office Manager, Bill Staley

• A retired Chief Master Sergeant (E9) in the United States Air Force, Bill has worn many hats at Sunrise Mountain.
  • Bill has served in the volunteer position (non-paid) of treasurer since 2005

  • Bill served as business manager 3 1/2 years ago

  • Bill currently serves (paid) as Sunrise Mountain’s able and efficient Office Manager.
    • Quite simply, Bill keeps everything together and serves faithfully behind the scenes as the details guy every organization needs and benefits from greatly.

  • Bill was ordained a deacon at Sunrise Mountain Baptist Church on Sunday, March 15, 2009.

  • And, along with his wife, Teresa, Bill also serves as a leader in SMBC's Awana Club

• Bill and Teresa are also the proud parents of two teenagers:
  • Shelbie (15), and Will (14)

• Bill's hobbies:
  • Reading, and collecting toy soldiers and Boy Scout badges

• Favorite foods:
  • Hamburgers and fries

• Favorite beverage:
  • Dr. Pepper

• Music (or artists) he listens to:
  • Bill says he doesn't really listen anymore, but his favorites are James Taylor, George Strait, and Lionel Ritchie

• Favorite t.v. shows:
  • 24, Lost, Bones, House.

• Latest movies he’s seen:
  • True Grit.

• Favorite movies all-time:
  • Shogun (mini-series).

• Favorite book(s) he’s read recently:
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

• Favorite sports team(s):
  • Atlanta Braves, University of North Carolina basketball.

• What he likes most about SMBC:
  • The many mighty fine people who aren’t too particular about associating with the likes of me!
