April 6-12 -- What do you like most about Easter?

This Sunday is without question the most exciting Sunday of the year...it's EASTER!

  • I look forward to celebrating alongside so many folk this Sunday, celebrating how Jesus rose from the grave, defeating death and fulfilling the requirements in providing salvation for each of us.

  • I'm looking forward to some "special" things in the service...some special musical presentations, media presentations, and I'm looking forward to presenting my "Easter Magic Show" for our kids during the service...of course, it's an illusion, a trick, but it has a message associated with it.
But, worshipping together is just one of many wonderful activities associated with Easter.
This week's chat question is simple:

  • Over the years, what has been your favorite part of Easter?

  • Here are some ideas to help "stir your thinking" a little...

    • Maybe it IS the idea of worshipping, celebrating together that is your favorite part.

    • But maybe it's something else. Maybe your fondest part might be one of these...

      • Getting dressed up each year in a new outfit.
      • Painting Easter eggs.
      • Hiding Easter eggs.
      • Finding hidden Easter eggs.
      • Getting together with family.
      • Participating in some unique family tradition you have particularly enjoyed.
      • Getting your picture taken at the shopping mall sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap.
      • Eating chocolate Easter bunnies.
      • Eating a special meal of some sort.
      • Getting to miss a couple days of school.
      • Enjoying a 4 day weekend from work.
      • Going to an Easter parade.

    • Or, maybe it's something completely different from all of that.

  • Whatever it is, though, tell us about it.

And, in the meantime, HAPPY EASTER!

So many memories! Such as our daughters when they were preschoolers in their Easter dresses and their mother fussing over them. The music presented by choirs and praise teams. The recurring message of hope in the risen Lord!
